You are just over one hour away from Lisbon.
Portugal’s capital is well worth a visit. Lots of thing to do
and see, much more than we can tell you in brief, but you will find
ample information in your sitting-room. |

Towards the east Évora
entices; this city, included in the Unesco-World-Heritage-list, boasts
both modern and antique culture, such as a Roman temple and aqueduct.
You will reach it by car in about one and a half hours. A real must
for those with interest in history. |

Do not forget to visit some of the fishing-villages,
like Sines for instance.
The manycoloured fishing-boats, the lively quays, the fishmongers,
all so typical of the Portuguese coast.
It goes without saying that here you find a wide choice of seafood
in the many restaurants. |

Or drive west and reach the sea in about 20 minutes,
the beach, the sun ,the waves, the dunes
and the lagoons await you, and no traffic jam here to annoy you. Go
swimming, sun-bathing, look for sea-shells and eat sardines.
In a nutshell, enjoy a summer in Portugal. |
